When I did the sending units in my 2006 unfortunately once I had it all back together I had the same issue. In my case I guess I was a little rough with one of the hard plastic lines running through the crossover tube and it was cracked losing the fuel pressure there I checked everything out side of the tanks before I dropped them the second time just to make sure my problem was internal.

That's what I'm afraid of, because I had fuel pressure before. Dang!!
Did you have a hard time getting that tube out the tanks?
I found my problem, the clip that hold the fuel lines inside crossover tube in place broke so the lines is not aligned up with the tubes in the tank. Dang, now I guess I have to pull the crossover tube to replace the fuel lines.
Oh yeah I had that happen also. Forgot all about that. Well since you have to pull the crossover tube you might want to check out the two lines and make sure they are ok mine cracked right where the lines meet the lil bulkhead thing with the tabs that broke so I almost didn’t notice it.
Yeah I dropped both tanks twice trying to track down my problem. I just ordered both the crossover tube lines and they came with the end pieces already on. Just had to run them through the crossover tube and put it back together.
Okay, i just order the fuel lines last night I'm drop the driver tanks tonight and take the crossover tube out and pray I get it back together without
breaking it again. PITA !!!
I’m praying for ya buddy lol. You should be alright the clips broke on me during the disassembly so once you clip them into the crossover tube they shouldn’t break.
Okay I've been dealing with this dreaded service fuel system problem code p0463 for a while now so I drop the passage tank replaced the sending unit and crossover tube put everything back together and still have the same problem Anybody have any ideals what could wrong .
I have issues with my fuel system also. I have a 2007 coupe with manual transmission. Car would not start. Got "Service Fuel System" and "Low Fuel" messages. I have replaced the entire module in the left tank (fuel pump, filter, FSU), and replaced the sending unit in the right tank. I have fuel pressure, but the car will still not start. I am still getting the same messages: "Service Fuel System" and "Low Fuel." It is as though I have accomplished nothing. Is there something I have missed? I am at a loss. PLEASE HELP!

Hi !!
Are you getting spark or injector pulse while cranking...if you have good fuel pressure at the rail I’d look at that !!....air, spark, fuel...that’s all you need... does your tach move at all during cranking ??

Thanks for your quick response. I will look at those things this weekend. I think my battery may also have failed. Will check that out today. Then will check for spark.
No problem !!...I’m sure you know how to check for spark...if you don’t know how to check for injector pulse disconnect the injector pigtail...one is 12 volts with key on...that’s your feed wire..all the feed wires are the same color on all the injectors...to check the signal (it’s ground side switched) connect the test light to battery POSITIVE...while cranking touch the test light to the signal wire...it should flash if you are getting injector pulse !!
rwobs777...thanks for your advice.
I have no spark while cranking. Also tach does not move while cranking.
Cranking is intermittent. Sometimes will crank right away--turning over strong. Sometimes does nothing when I push the starter button.
BTW, had battery checked. Healthy.
Have not tested for injector pulse. I think I need to track down the spark issue first.
Thanks for your help.
Hi !!...thought you might have had your issues resolved...no spark, no tach movement and no injector pulse would zero me in on the crank sensor but I would check the wiring to the sensor first before changing...I helped a C5 member a few weeks ago with a cranking no start condition and he mentioned he had no tach movement during cranking...he found the crank sensor wiring burned up from his headers !!...now you said sometimes you have a “no crank no start” issue too so do we now have 2 separate issues here ???...MMM ??...probably best to check the wiring down to the starter !!...don’t know if you have ever done a voltage drop check with your multimeter to see if we have high resistance on either of your battery cables !!
