HELP! Fuel pump module STUCK in tank!
Like the title says, the pump module is literally STUCK in the tank. I've removed all of the hoses, even popped off the arm for the level sender, (so I know nothing is getting pinched in between) and the module will NOT fit through the opening of the tank. I can get it right up to the bucket, but it's like the bucket is 1mm too big for the hole in the tank, almost like the plastic has swelled.
Am I missing something here?

Update: I basically broke the thing out of my tank (being replaced with a Fore system anyway). I popped the bucket off of the module with the 3 tabs, then ripped the fuel pump from the bucket. After draining the tank I used my 90* die grinder with a 3/8" burr to clean up the hole in the tank, then fished it out with long needle nose pliers. Now to rinse out all of the plastic crap that's now in my tank. THANKS GM! would have really killed you to make the hole in the tank 1/16" bigger! But hey, I guess it fit in CAD
