Do a search. FAST intake mani, LT headers, CAI, will get you going.

1 - where are you located? This will help determine what you can do and what type of advice we can give you.
2 - What are your end goals?

This is my 2005. Current engine mods are FAST 102 intake, K&N drop ins, BTR Stage II Turbo Cam, BTR Pushrods and LS7 lifters. Still running stock manifolds, Borla X pipe and Hooker Blackheart Axleback. The car was dynoed with just the cam and none of the other mods listed and made 400hp/380tq at the wheels I'd like to think its a little closer to 500 now but the car is healthy and quick and showing no signs of wear or stress. It's seen numerous track events and mountain runs over the last year and help up to expectations. I do road course but if you plan on drag racing the 2005 differential is notoriously weak and I would address that first before any performance mods. For road course, auto x, or weekend warrior you should be fine.

Bolt-ons for LS engines are plentiful, thankfully.
  • Longtube headers, X-pipe, exhaust. This is your basic path. Which headers, which exhaust are going to be up to you and personal taste and budget constraints. But this is probably where you'll see the most value for pure bolt-ons.
  • Air intake - the basic restrictionless intake. There are a couple of options, one that uses a snorkel to get fresh air from the front and ones that stay in the stock location but flow better than stock. This will be the cheapest upgrade.
  • throttle body & Intake Manifold - this will be on the expensive side, but still considered a bolt-on. Probably the last step in the chain for extreme horsepower needs without going forced.
  • Cam - Furthest from pure bolt-on, but also the one that will change the behavior and output of the LS motor the most. You can target your specific needs (ie: street course vs drag strip vs just daily driving) and you can get one custom fit to your desires. The most work involved in installing, but also the most gains.

After that? You probably are looking at non-bolt-on methods and most likely moving toward forced induction anyway. However, bolt-on LS2s do very well. Good luck. Let us know what you decide to do.
