Engine temps are far more related to the T-stat on the low end and airflow on the high side. Coolant capacity is secondary, since without sufficient airflow, it eventually all heats up.

I made the mistake of buying and installing one of those E BAY 2 row radiators in my C4 and i have 1 word for those radiator GARBAGE! you get what you pay for. try a ECP 2 row radiator you'll find them on EBAY for -$300

The eBay radiators have pretty poor reviews around here.

The price of admission is higher but with it being a direct replacement with significantly more cooling capacity, I’d highly recommend at least looking at the DeWitts radiators

Let us know what you decide to go with. I've been interested myself in eBay radiators but I'm too scared to pull the trigger on one.

I just bought the Mishimoto C6 radiator while it was on presale, $300 off. It won't arrive until early September so I can't speak on quality.

I did same. I know mishimoto has great quality work from previous work. I was up and down on buying the dewitts for big hp builds like mine because half say works other say it doesnt. introductory price with misimoto i went ahead and picked it up. i will be doing full review once comes in as if it works in my area of south Louisiana should work anywhere.

When buying the Dewitt's, factor in a fan system too. I put the short version in a few weeks ago thinking the stock fan should work. It does not fit against the core at all making the fan useless.

To clarify this, the stock fan fits DeWitts standard radiator perfectly. The shorter version radiator doesn't make the fans any shorter.

That is true on the height on the fan. I'm talking about the 1 inch gap around the entire shroud. The fan doesn't seat close to the radiator at all, so it pulls air from all around the core except through the core.

While that gap doesn't look normal to me I'm guessing the ink numbers on the shroud are 1/4" and the gap looks about the same, so 1" might be a little bit exaggerated. I'm going to check it out next time I go in and I'll post my findings

I'll take better pictures in the morning. I'm going to pull off the fan again and see if I can make something to help it.

Why not just get our cut down fan package? Email me tadewitt@dewitts.com

That car deserves better than a $166 pos. Look at cooling system like its traction, cant have enough.
If you get more (thicker) radiator, sometimes you may need more fan to pull proper air through it.

Did a DeWitts rad and a simple Spal on my A body (coming from a 4 row) it ran an avg of 3-5 degrees cooler overall which helps but the biggie was how much quicker it cooled down once the fan kicked on or the car started moving. Very noticeable.

I hear they may make some kickazz heater cores too maybe Tom can pipe in there. Sure is a must imo as most replacements are cheap garabge, all of them.

Default Fan gap

I was in the shop today and checked the fan to radiator fit. The top had zero gap like the original.
