So the Ranger method isnt working. I opened the cap, cleaned out the dirty fluid, filled it with new fluid, closed the cap, pumped the clutch 30 times, opened the cap and found my new fluid still sitting there. I thought maybe the cap was clogged so I cleaned that and tried again and same story. Any suggestions? Thaaanks
Drive it for a few hours and repeat. Usually what I do and can tell after 60+ clutches and drive then it’s a darker color. But I do this about every driving month and it doesnt get black or dark.
Yeah if its already pretty clean then it will look clean after one pass. I do the ranger method on mine but only one pass every 500 combined city/freeway driving miles or so and its really not that dirty but keeps it clean in my opinion. Granted this is on my C5, but same principle I believe.

I noticed that the return spring was busted in half with half of it still on the pedal. Im wondering if this is causing the pedal to not return to its full resting position and causing the issue. Will replace the spring and retest.
Also.. With first attempt I did not have the cap on correctly... (I know).. didnt realize there is a specific way it closes.... would this cause air to get into the line?

Should not have an air issue, but you may have a moisture issue. Brake fluid attracts moisture.
