Remove the coil and use a Dremel to trim the flat tab off the back of the intake exposing the vacuum nipple. Carefully cut just the tip off the nipple and push on your vacuum hose.

Best mod to date on my 05, I got NPP from an 08 on ebay for $550.00 delivered to my door. Muffler shop installed for $150.00. I hooked vacuum using the pump method.see link below.

Those who can get to the tap in the intake manifold, my hat is off to you. I managed to get a socket to fit on the tabs nicely, gave it a turn and promptly broke off the tabs without breaking the tip off. Any other ideas like saws, razors, or dremels weren't going to work with my hands, so I gave up. The tee fitting for the brake booster hose I found was 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/4. Found a nice stainless steel piece on eBay that is meant for beer or soda machines. Fits perfectly, super easy to install and works great. Not seeing a downside to it.

Move the coil bracket so you can get a bit more room to move, then heat up a razor blade and trim about 1/4 to 1/2" off of the tab that is closest to you (to protect that tap) Use the razor blade to chop the little wings off and lastly, heat a 90 degree pic and open the hole up. Takes a couple of minutes.

Also, the best way to install the NPP on a non-NPP car is to do it the way GM intended as I did here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...tionality.html

That all requires the hands of a surgeon. (small) Again, hats off you and to those who can do it, my hands just don't fit in there to do anything with a razor blade, especially a hot one! For those like me, the simple tee in the brake booster is the 30 second install answer.

The brake booster is where I tapped into for my '06. Clean looking install. Ran that way for 2 years before I sold it.
