Default C6 Low Beam Passenger Dim Help ?

I have a 2012 c6 and my passenger side low beam is super dim when projected onto a wall, almost nothing. The drivers side is fine. I recently changed bulbs and no difference. When i look into the headlight when its dark it seems to be the same brightness before the projector as the drivers like the bulbs are fine but past that point its something else maybe. The projector doesn't look cloudy and the headlights are clean. Anyone have any suggestions on what i might check next? I didn't really find any conclusive information through the forum other then some people saying some reflective coating on the inside of the headlight can get worn out. Appreciate any information from anyone with a similar problem or suggestions.

It's probably your ballast going bad. The C6 uses HID headlights, which use xenon bulbs and ballasts to power them. If you replaced the bulb and have the same problem, it's more than likely the ballast. You could probably replace it with a GM one for a billion dollars, but there are also infinitely more aftermarket options. I bought a full set of HIDs (2x bulbs and 2x ballasts w/wiring harnesses) for $60 and they have a lifetime warranty (DDMtuning.com). Can't be mad at that.

I've heard of people swapping out the ballast to test them, it just seems like they are more of a on or off deal not something that can dim, but then again im not sure.

I've had ballasts slowly go out, and then one day, boom, no more light. Although I can't speak to GM ballasts, but I imagine they're manufactured similarly.

Ill look into it. Curious if anyone had any similar experience ? I have been looking at those new c7 style lights those since c6 lights arent available anymore if it is indeed chrome or something else reflector wise.

Bump for new week. Was hoping that vendor that works on c6 headlights might chime in.
