This saved me from having to buy a new cable. The bushing on my shifter slip in half and luckily I was able to get her home before it came loose. Took the center console out, then the shifter, bought the Dorman kit, and boom , done is 30 min. Thanks for the information!!!
does that 14041 contain bushing for both sides, or do I need to get 2 of those?
Each Dorman 14041 package contains 01 plastic bushing, so you will need 02 of those packages; 1 bushing for Transmission connection and 1 bushing for Shifter connection.
Same plastic bushing that I put a blue square around in the above image is used on each end Shifter Cable.
If the bushing is not mission you'll be able to visually/physically match it up when removed to the ones in the package.
It only has 1 bushing per kit that fits.I think I used a different number when I did mine.I may have a couple of the bushings if you need them.
aw, that's mighty solid of you. the expense to ship it will probably not make it worth it. unless you are just on some crusade to heal the world from overpurchasing tiny pieces of plastic. even then, the gas would likely offset it. but I see you, and think that's awesome. If I had 10 Corvettes, maybe. mmmmm 10 Corvettes.

ok thanks, i was hoping it was one bushing in the pack for the front and a different bushing from the pack for the rear.
That's a good question and I'll edit the post to clarify the package contains 01 plastic bushing that is needed for either shifter, or transmission connection and the same bushing is used for both shifter and transmission connections. Hopefully, to help eliminate any future confusion.
I replaced the bushing both end but gearshift seems to not find the gears but stills

A plastic bushing about 3" from the factory NPP pipes..... arrrrrgggghhhhh
I changed the bushing but gearshift seems to float and not stop as gearshifts should . It’s like the gearshift needs to be adjusted . Ideas? It’s not the bushings.

Which bushing did you change, Shifter Base, or Transmission? You may (and should) replace them both since they are the same age and fail close together time wise. And inconveniently.
The Shift Cable attaches at both ends using the same size/style plastic bushing; 1 at the Shifter base and the 2nd at the Transmission on the metal "cone with ball on top" as in the tut pic.
If you pull in the button on the the Shifter and it "Free Floats", easily shifting between gears it can be because:
The other bushing end is still degraded and fallen off it's not connected
