Looking to replace our OEM radio (non-NAV & XM ready) with an OEM radio with those features, will we need to purchase antennas for one or both if we purchase just the head unit?
You didn't say what year your car is so here is a basic description of antenna locations by talon90:

There are four distinct antennas in the C6 Corvette. You will definitely need the OEM navigation radio GPS antenna to install the navigation unit.
XM antenna is located in each side view mirror on a 2006 and up coupe or convertible. For 2005 the antenna was on the halo on a coupe and on the trunk lid on a convertible.
Onstar antenna is located on the top right side of the windshield, all years, all models equipped with Onstar. It is a black rectangular box on the windshield.
Navigation antenna is located in the dash on top of the center air conditioning ducts. All years, all models equipped with navigation.
I don't know if all cars came with the XM antennas whether the car had XM or not. Cars that did not come with Nav do not have the Nav antenna in the dash. Good luck.
