Default Clarification on M6 Trans and Diff Build

So I've got a 2009 1LT M6 Coupe. I've torn up the 1/2 synchro evidently. I plan to pull the entire TT/Trans/Diff assembly and upgrade during the repair process. I've already ordered a DSS CF driveshaft (4 week wait on them right now). I have an ECS Trans/Diff brace that will be installed during this process as well. I'm thinking of tackling this build myself. I don't really have time constraints. I have a shop and the majority of the tools needed. I work for a dealer group that also has a Chevy store, so I may be able to borrow the rear diff specialty tools. I want to have all my parts cryo'd, "REM" polished, and (if I can squeeze the budget) treated by MicroBlue Racing.

The plan so far is:
Tear down the trans, determine the extent of damage, order replacement parts. I plan to also upgrade to the bronze shifter pads, upgraded carbon blocker rings, and all new bearings/seals. Basically, a rebuild, but with "better" parts installed to help with longevity and whiz-bang metallurgical treatments applied.

The rear diff does have slight whine to it at highway speeds, so I figure while it's out.. let's fix'er up. Currently is all stock, but there seems to be some mixed info as to what that means in my 2009. I've found a couple instances where it's mentioned that 2009+ have the hardened output shafts already. Can anyone verify that? Or is there a way to ID them during disassembly?

Also, if I do the 30 spline output shaft from the trans, can I just get a C6Z06 pinion and match with a new 3.42 "base" ring gear? I have not had one of these apart yet, so if that question makes no sense... it's because I'm not 100% familiar with how that part of the diff is laid out yet. (still reading all the how-to's I can find, but most of them are missing lots of pics). Or is it just as well to just have the 27 spline pinion machined to 30 spline (I believe RPM offers this service as well as RKT). I don't think I really need the fluid cooler circuits of the Z06/GS differential/trans as I don't road race or auto cross. I would eventually like to run some 1/2 or 1 mile events, so maybe they aren't a bad idea. Any input there is appreciated.

My car is mostly street driven with frequent trips to Mexico and the drag strip. I'm running a 416ci LS3 based engine (estimate 550-575 whp now) and eventually will be adding @200hp of nitrous.

So far, I have considered just sending my trans to Tick, RPM, or TDP... but the money "lost" to shipping parts all over the country along with not having the satisfaction of doing the job myself really makes me want to tackle it. I mean, every good trans builder had to do their first one at some point, right?

So, what I'm asking of the Corvette Forums members, is guidance, advice, experiences, or constructive criticism for my plan... Am I missing an important piece of info? LMK.

Save your time have tick do it and know you have a warranty if you blow it up again. Not to mention they do rebuilds everyday and know the ins and outs of it. If you get it back together and haven’t aligned or clearances properly then you could be costing yourself a lot more.
