I have a '12 GS with the 17X11 Welds on the rear with M&H 325/45/17 DR's (listed as 28" tall). For now I have the stock tires and rims on the front but want to go to matching front rims and skinnies. The car has not been to the strip yet and has only seen street low speed shakedown cruises. What size front wheel/tire combo do I need to avoid the dreaded TC/ABS gremlins caused by non-stock tire diameter front/rear difference?
Thanks in advance.

I don't run skinnies so and not sure the sizes available. I have the same M&H and they measure 27.2 inches installed.
If what you have in the front is working well then get something the same height and you will be sure to not have problems. I've always kept the fronts around 1 to1.5 inches difference and don't have any issues.

Assuming your plan is primarily a strip car that will be driven to and from the track, the front size won't matter, since turning off TC compensates for part of the nanny issue. The bigger concern is the ABS/AH part that helps the car recover when it's suddenly not going in a straight line. With skinnies on for general street use, a sudden deviation from normal direction that activates AH can cause the narrow tires to fold under from the heavy braking (ABS) and lose pressure with undesirable results.
I've driven to the track and back a couple times with my skinnies on, but I normally change tires at the track.
BTW, skinnies have so little tread, it doesn't take many miles before they die. I have less than 300 street miles on them and they already have less than 1/16th remaining.
