HUD Install
I just bought a 2008 base model C6, and it doesn't have the HUD option. has anyone installed a HUD on a car that did not have one? If so how difficult was it?

I did it quite a while back before it was a thing. If you search around different vendor sites you can find the "kit" of parts you will need plus the harness for around $400. If you get used working parts you could do it cheaper.
If you are willing to cut your A/C duct that goes over your instrument cluster to the driver's side vent, it is a fairly easy install. This is the route most people take and they put the duct back together with the foil tape they use in attic ducting. This is the method I would do if I could do it over again. I pulled the entire dash and it was an all day affair never having done anything like that before.
If you end up doing this yourself and want a hand, let me know.

Took about 3 hours in my garage and we didn't cut any ventilation ducts. Just follow the instruction and don't try taking short cuts.
