"Best performance tire" covers too much territory. What kind of performance are you looking for? Straight line, curves, competitive road course, etc. What do you want out of the tire? Mileage, handling, quietness, etc?

Michelin makes several "pilot" tires. Nitto also has several tires that can be considered "performance" tires.

I can tell you that I liked these https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireS...earDiameter=19 on my Grand Sport that had an extra 300 Hp via supercharging. They were helpless from a dig though. Again, it depends on what you're asking the tires to do.

I ran the 285's up front and had no issues with fitment or rubbing. Not sure on the 295's. Either will run fine as far as the nannies go.

Thanks motorhead for the info the car is mostly going to be use for street and some track days iI think the Michelin pilot sports might be my best bet. I have not heard many good reviews about the Nitto Tires. Thanks

I ran Nitto Invo's for several years & liked them very much for "spirited" road driving (no tracking).....currently running Conti Extreme Sport which I also find excellent.

How much track vs how much street driving?

Do you want a more track oriented tire or a more street oriented tire?

Z06 or Grandsport?

Your profile doesn't list location. Climate can influence the selection of tires used primarily for the street. Does your street driving include cold weather or occasional heavy rains? Additionally, do you need a certain life from them? Most high performance tires tend to wear quickly when driven with spirit.

The pilot super sports are a good tire for summer street and respectable at the track. If they fit the budget and climate, they should be high on your list. The Invos, while better than stock runflats, are more of comfort tire for daily driving. I was underwhelmed by their straight line grip.
