this will be about the most unscientific answer ever! I have had texas speed headers on a 08 ls3 auto and now have kooks on a 2010 auto, the kooks sound just a bit better to my ear. Both 1 7/8th, can't say why but just my opinion.

Just had Speed Engineering 1 7/8 headers and 3 inch x pipe, no cats installed with my stock npp exhaust, love the sound and performance with the tune. Got about 1300 bucks total includes install and tune and header purchase. I just couldn't justify spending 2000 bucks for headers and an x pipe then a tune for 500-700 on top of that.

agree. I’ve got under $900 in my JBA LT’s/catted X w/no issues on steering column rubbing, ground clearance or fit. and they’re ceramic coated as well...

Love my catless kooks into my corsa but also loved the sound of my catted LGs in my previous C5 as well.

did you have to weld some of it because of exhaust leaks? That’s one thing I read about speed engineering ?

No welding needed, used the provided clamps, no leaks. When I was reading the reviews some where concerned with leaks so they used high temp rtv sealant, I bought some but the shop I had install them said they didn't need to use it as everything fit great and the clamps worked fine, only issue was you need the 31 inch 02 sensor extensions instead of the 24 inch.

No complaints what so ever. Only issue are the 02 sensor extensions, go on line and get the 31 inch ones. Use the extra money for a tune and see what these engines are capable of, OMG, hang on....
