Hello all proud Corvette owners.I have a 2005 C6 and want some opinions/recommendations. I’m planning to get a new cam, intake manifoldand cold air intake. May not be much but I think is a good start for a couple of mods. Next I’ll get a nice exhaust set. My question is, do I need additional things for the cam?
I would suggest a CAI and longtube headers before cam. Take care or letting the car breathe better first. Here is a link to our cam package. Check it out and see what is needed to complete a cam install. We generally see 440rwhp on our s3.2 camshaft with just cam package, longtubes, and cai on M6 cars. If your an auto then you will need to run a mild cam to work with stock stall or upgrade your torque converter too.
on a 2013 base c6, ive heard that a CAI isnt really needed. Is this true? or should i start there, then get an exhaust set up with headers? Thanks for any info.

My 2013 base C6 M6:
Z06 air filter and housing
Kooks 1 3/4 ceramic coated headers and catted pipes
Borla S Type II axle back exhaust
HP Tuners software
Stock hp ratings are based on crank hp, not rwhp. You lose 15-18% on the transfer. If I take 430 and multiply by .83 I get 356 rwhp, as shown on the sheet as my baseline.
Picked up 64 rwhp and 64 ft lb torque with these mods, and never touched the internals.
Nice! This is my short term goal as well. the only difference is i'm looking at bi-mode mufflers and would probably be going with speed engineering headers. once i get a dyno tune i will post up my results and compare with yours to see if any major differences. thanks for the help!
