I just ordered a McLeod rxt twin disc and tick master cylinder with the line that goes all the way to the slave. Then I started reading on the form seeing where the Tick master supposedly won't work with the RXT clutch. Is this true or is McCloud saying this just to cover their ***?
I'm sure it will work but most of the clutch makers make their clutch to work with the stock hydraulics. Because it could be a problem with engaging or disengaging or anything else can go wrong. Playing devils advocate just say the clutch did mess up and your running a tick master and call McLeod. An tell them your not running stock hydraulics I know what they would say it's the master cylinder. But also what if it was because the master cylinder the clutch messed up your going to blame McLeod. So I guess you can say they are covering their *** but this day in time you have too. I wouldn't want to get a bad reputation for my product if someone put a different variable in there but nobody ain't going to say they added that different/aftermarket variable also. We as people go off feedback and most of the time people leave the need to knows out or all the details out. Sorry for beating a dead horse to death. I have my stock clutch and hydraulics in my 2011 C6 GS so I'm not bias. LoL

The pressure plate is designed with the travel requirements of the factory master cylinder and internal slave cylinder. The Tick master is a larger design at 7/8" bore. This size bore will over travel the pressure plate finger and cause the pressure plate past the apex of its release point and it will actually re-engage on itself. Thus cause the clutch to slip, generate more heat and pre-maturely burn the discs up. These issues are eliminated when using a factory spec master cylinder and slave cylinder.
I believe I read somewhere that tick sells a smaller bore Master? Could I get this and it work? if not it sounds like I need to return this master cylinder and buy a new OEM
