Line lock on the rear brakes
So I got a 2 step for my a6 corvette and wanted to know a way I can set the rpms at around 3000rpms without the car moving forward and a local friend told me about line lock on the rear brakes or a trans brake how would I do this.

It's not possible with the stock 1800 rpm converter. You need at least a 4000 stall and even then a launch much over 2000 rpm is not an advantage.

And a line lock on rear brakes won't help at all. Just foot brake it and use all the brakes, but like Hoxxoh said, you need a converter.

I never thought of using one. normally I prestage and power brake to my desired rpm and the full stage. what about your elapsed times? how are they affected? lets say you power brake to 2500 rpm, vs using the 2 step at the same rpm.

It doesn't seem to affect my ET (or 60ft times) at all as I've tried launching with and without it at the same RPM.
