Default Muffler Question 07 vs. 13

I bought a set of stock 2013 C6Z mufflers from a forum member, will they fit my 2007 C6z? ( ARH LT headers, cat delete, but has stock mufflers) ) I blew the baffles out of one of the mufflers and the NPP no longer works. 2013 mufflers came with NPP included. Mufflers look the same is the pipe over the axle different?

No personal experience but I've read several discussions here saying the exhaust on the Z's didn't change in '09 like the base car's did so I believe what you bought will fit. Also if you didn't know, the '11 - '13 Z06's got the same exhaust and mufflers as the ZR1 (muffler mod already done).

They should be the same and fit, as long as the muffler inlet pipe was not modified. However, the 2011+ Z06 mufflers (like the ZR1) had a solid by pass pipe vs perforated by pass pipe in the pre 2011 Z06 mufflers, so the newer mufflers will sound a little louder at WOT. So, I would replace in pairs.

I agree with Rick T, the Z06/ZR1 pipe did not change over the axle, only the base in 2009.

Actually, I believe there are some differences in the C6Z axle back piping that have been reported on here. IIRC, the 06-07 axle back will have some fitment issues on 08-13 cars because of the TR6060 & rear cradle differences (versus the 06-07 cars which came with a T56). The 08-13 systems will however fit on 06-07 cars; so OP, I believe you're in the clear. You also have whats perceived to be the "best" sounding OE C6Z mufflers (2011+) which are essentially the same as the ZR1 mufflers, and do not require the "muffler mod" to improve sound quality (as Mike's LS3 described above).

Z06 systems never changed, it was the base cars that did. All z06 systems swap around interchangeably

Well now its bothering me because I know I've read something the the effect that there is a subtle difference...I want to say Josh B and v8sten (Don) both said something like this was discovered when doing the 3" muffler mod for customers. I'll have to dig...

Edit: Here's one post that makes reference to bends being different: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1596775440

Still looking for Josh B's post that I think gave a bit more detail...
