Starting problem and check coolant level code
I have a 2010 base. Lately since the weather has gotten cold it's been having starting issues. I also don't drive it as much in the cold. I'll hit the start button and it will crank like it's going to start and then it'll die out. Accessory mode will be on but not the engine. I'll try it a second time and it'll work.
I went to pepboys to have them check the battery and they told me it's good. Rated 640 CCA, Measured 741 CCA, and voltage 12.54V.
That battery test was ran after I drove car about 2 trips today each being 10 miles and about 20-30min.
The bar for state of health is at 100%
The bar for state of charge looks like it's about 70%
What else can be wrong with it?
I also been getting a check coolant level code a lot lately. I only got that when I first bought it and the dealer said to drive it for 2 weeks and it'll go away, they said if it stayed to bring it back. Code went away and returned after the car sat for about 3 weeks. Now I get it all the time. My coolant level is good though. My friend said could be a bubble in the radiator. How can I get rid of this code and why am I getting it?
Low coolant is inferred indirectly based on the rate of change of coolant temperature. There is no level sensor. When it happens, check the temperature reading on the DIC. I would inspect the wiring to your temperature sensor (under the alternator) or the sensor itself.
