Default How Loud are Longtubes?

Thinking about doing a set of Kooks or ARH longtubes with a catted midpipe. Wondering how much louder than stock it would be? I have the NPP mufflers with the M2W switch also. I’ve gotten a little carried away with mods on previous cars before and ultimately it really effected their drivability. I like the idea of some basic upgrades but I don’t want to regret it. Any input is much appreciated.

With the exhaust closed, it’s not bad and there’s no drone. When open, it sounds aggressive, but not obnoxious.

Couldn't of said it better. With the factory exhaust closed it remains very tame. If you need a set of long tubes stop by our site and shop around. Extra discounts with code VETTE.

I have the Kooks LT's with catted midpipe and NPP mufflers. With them closed, it is stupid quiet. I feel like I'm driving a prius or some family sedan. Even with them open it's not obnoxious or overly loud.

I really appreciate the feedback, sounds like a very feasible upgrade. I would definitely plan on having them installed and the car tuned at the same time. From what I’ve read doing a little research the gains would be roughly 25 rwhp?

Hope this video works All four of these are Open NPP exhaust.

Headers, De-catted, Xpipe, NPP. If you like I can send a video of how loud the NPP Open and closed is.

Even w the NPP open, it is not rediculous and there really is hardly any drone. In-fact driving with your windows down the wind noise drowns out any exhaust note or tone. It wont sound like a straight piped MUSTANG, or Challenger. I had a VERY loud Borla ATAK axle back on my Z that I could not stand nor could I think while driving. i used to drive w ear plugs in, but now?? The car may be a tad bit louder than stock. Hope this helps.

When you first start the car up and the NPP butterfly valves are open before full vacuum is achieved, it is eye-brow raising for just a moment but then calms down especially once the RPM's settle. Driving around it is very nice and is very quiet cruising on the highway. No drone either. Now when you open it up and the valves open, man it sounds freaking awesome.
