Speaker Upgrade Idea (cheap)
hey guys,
Sorry for not taking pics, but it was too easy. So I decided to replace the blown non bose speakers in my 08. I was going to do a head unit, amp, speakers, etc.. but I decided to try something first. I ordered the cheap ($10-$20) mounting plates for the front doors. Next I had a set of oem 6.5” Prius JBL speakers (2004-2009 Prius with jbl) and put them in. The sound is night and day difference! Great bass, good mids, and the factory tweets give okay highs. The fit is good too.
So so if you want to upgrade your speakers on the cheap, go to your local upull and grab some JBl Prius speakers.
The only modification i had I had to do was use a dremmel tool to remove a plastic ring on the back of the Prius speaker, took 1 minute each speaker.
