I would like to put NPP exhaust on my base 2008 Convertible. I have S&S exhaust on it now. My better half says it drones to much for her.
Trying to find a happy medium. Is it a big deal to change over, and what are the steps?
Thanks ahead of time.

If you didn't do any mods to the exhaust when you put the S&S on (I'm not familiar with those) then you basically find a take off set of NPP's and install them from the axle back. Pretty simple replacement, again assuming you didn't modify your exhaust and the S&S is an Axle Back system. You will need to run a vacuum line to actuate the valves in the NPP mufflers. Do a search in here or the General Topics section. There's lots of info on this subject.

I think the NPP is one of the best factory exhaust systems. Nice and quiet at idle and cruising. But when the by-pass valve opens up at 3500 to 4000 RPM's, it sounds awesome.
A still very quiet with no drone setup that I have on my car (a 2011 Grand Sport) is the NPP exhaust with a set of catted American Racing headers. Little louder than stock when idling and cruising but when the NPP valves open above 3500, it is freaking mean, race car!
