Default 402 stroker vs ls3 critical question..

My setup was a 08c6a6 with stock ls3,headers,ecs1500kit,methkit. I recently blew a hole through my block so I'm on the prowl for a new motor. Every used ls3 I come across ranges from 35~4k. I just stumbled upon a studded 402 stroker long block for 3500. Now I want to keep my my ecs kit, so would it be better to through the 402 in or wait to find a decent ls3? I'm not interested in spending 6k building forging a ls3. So what's you guys input... Pros and cons?

How many times you need to post the same thing ?
Answered in your other thread, but might as well just keep asking.

Not rocket science. A "properly built" forged engine will be better for boost than a stock one every time. You already blew up a stock one so that should be a clue.

It's better, not because it's stroked, but because it's built.
If both were built with good parts some would argue the stock cubes is better. I would disagree, which is why I run a 402 myself.

Again. Comparing a built 402 to a stock LS3, I can't imagine anyone would suggest stock is better.

And 402 doesnt give near enough information to give any sort of recommendation. Built with crap parts by a crap builder? All we know is cubes, which doesn't tell us much of anything.
