CCP Jam Cam N/A?
I'm looking at cams for my ls2 with 1 3/4 headers, Dorman/Fast 90mm intake, and ported 243s. I want it to be steerable, so I know I'll need "lower" overlap either through shorter duration or wider LSA. My plan is to add an ECS blower kit in 12-18 months. I've heard good things about CCPs Jam Cam (230/242 .608"/.615" 115+4). Everyone says it's very steetable and makes good power with a blower. Has anyone ran this cam N/A?

At 6* of overlap, that cam is going to be a little rowdy in an LS2. Probably be a little soft under 3500rpm too. I'd go much smaller and let the blower make the power. Something like a 222/238 115+2 would be a nice behaving setup that will make good power up top too.

Ask your tuner. Don't take advice from people that haven't ran it NA.
My opinion is 6* of overlap isn't enough to worry about. I ran 20* on my last h/c/i/nitrous setup before I went blower and it drove just fine.... ALL dependent on the tune!

Yeah, installing a cam that's too big for the job is like having a case of herpes. It's the "gift" that keeps on giving. Don't even fool with a 6* overlap cam. Go straight to the bad boy 20* overlap cam and wait for that "magic" tune that will make it have great manners, stock like fuel eco, and be the envy of the car show crowd.
