Changing bezel and deleting mag ride switch question
My F55 went bad a while ago so I changed the suspension. No one would deprogram the F55 option around me, so I used simulators. That’s been working great. I’m currently changing the radio bezel along with some interior mods. The new bezel has no mag ride switch because I don’t need it. My question is, can I just leave the switches unplugged, or will that give me some sort of error code? Do I need to leave them connected or bypass them? I just don’t want to put everything back together just to rip it apart again. I planned on just leaving them unplugged. Thanks guys
You can leave the connector unplugged and the BCM/F55 mooudle just sees the F55 command from the button not plugged in as in Tour mode.
As for deprogramming the F55 out of the BCM, check around with your local group, since someone has to have a Tech II that can take the 1 min to program out F55 for you.
Thanks! That’s what I thought. I didn’t see a definitive answer online. As far as the Tech II, I called everywhere at the time. Even posted here offering some cash if a member could help out. Dealerships refused, and closest offer I had was 7-8 hours round trip. I just ordered the simulators and they’ve worked great, so no worries. Thanks again for confirming
