Default Key fob battery compatibility

Has anyone ever had any problems with using lithium batteries in your key fobs??? Or did I have bad luck and both new batteries that I bought are dead??

I reprogrammed a 2nd key fob with new lithium batteries and it failed to work. I tried both batteries but it didnt work. Eventually, out of frustration I put the old battery in and now it works. The 2 new batteries were Energizer Lithium while the old one was a plain Panasonic battery. Thoughts???

Thought I had a bad key fob; just put in a new panasonic battery and the fob now is working fine. The chinese brand I have does not work in my fob even though it tests good on voltage. Thanks for the reminder.
