Dyno Tune Results
I thought I would share my dyno tune results since I've seen lots of posts regarding gains after tune. My 2005 C6 came with a CAI, Corsa exhaust, and LT headers. It never idled well, had poor throttle response, and would not shift properly. I guessed the previous owner added these bolt-ons and never did a proper tune. I think I was correct... The throttle response, shifting, and idle is very much improved. Plus I gained 30 HP.
Is this the correct formula to calculate flywheel HP? 376/.84 = 447
This is a great forum. Thanks to all.
Mike

You are figuring a 16% Drivetrain HP Loss

I suppose your LS2 is an automatic .... Well, you have 6 more Net HP than the stock 436 Net HP LS3 with optional NPP exhaust

The torque you picked up everywhere is very impressive.

I sure can feel it. It was low hanging fruit as the car was just way out of tune. Best $450 I every spent on performance.

Sheesh. That's a monster increase in torque just from a tune... who did the tuning work?

My 2006 Z51 M6 LS2 stock vs bolt-on's+dyno tune
Bolt-on's - LT 1-3/4" Headers (stainless works w/hi-flow cats), X-pipe, MSD Atomic Airforce Intake, Nick Williams 103mm polished TB, NGK TR55's, MSD Plug wires, Vararam CAI
It picked up 50HP and 55 ft-lbs of torque
I primarily track my car, the downside is that my oil temps were marginal before on 80+ deg days, I've got to get that dedicated oil cooler installed.
Of course, I like every bit of the upside
