Default 2005 cai

Does anyone have comparable data on CAIs for the LS2? I’m trying to figure out which brands are worth looking into...

Several years ago I posted a list of N/A cars that had run the 1/4 mile in 10.99 or less and the CAI they used. Vararam topped the list by a very wide margin. Nuff said.

Years ago, I replaced the OEM air intake on my 2005 with a Callaway CAI. It resulted in a significant decrease in intake air temperatures down to just a few degrees above ambient. Thereby eliminating much of the timing loss baked into the tune. The Vararam unit adds a "ram" effect at speed that presumably adds air and therefore fuel to a maximum effort acceleration. One could assume that if you race the car, the Vararam is the unit for you.

So true, since a CAI has no significant advantage over stock at anything less than WOT.

I did like the added throttle response during normal driving in our summer temps resulting from not loosing timing. The IATs were noticeably lower when the car was moving.
