Default Redline Trans Fluid for Manual Experience

2011 Grand Sport with 6-spd manual. I found that the first 1-2 and then 2-3 shifts on cold/cool mornings to be a bit clunky but after that was fine on the factory GM fluid. Decided to try out the Redline D4 fluid to see if cold temperature shifting would improve. Temps have been in the 40's the last couple of mornings and I am finding the first shifts to be much more difficult.

Once the trans warms up or in the afternoon when the day temps are warmer, shifting is fine.

Has this been people's experience with the Redline fluid?

I do have both the factory trans fluid and some Amsoil Torque Drive fluid on order. Hoping the Amsoil fluid will give better cold temperature shifting but if not I will just go back to the factory fluid.

I have nothing against redline, I am using BG products Syncro-shift II in my 06 manual I love it. Shifts are much better and you will not believe how quite the car will get. I even put it in the transaxle of my Nissan Versa and what an improvement it made there too

I had the same experience with royal purple, put back OEM, runs and shifts best with it.

I use royal purple Synchromax in my 6 speed and no issues. Your car doesn’t operate cold for too long. Wouldn’t overthink it.

True. I would just like to find a fluid that would give smoother shifts and if it can get rid of the cold temperature clunkiness, that would be a bonus.
