So my recently acquired cream puff (12,800 miles) is tone stock. I will never track this car but I wanted some advice on quick mods that wake the car up a tad.
The A4 is unique (had no idea 4 speed autos where still around in 2005) but the car runs strong and consistent. I have read here that there are some things that wake the LS2 up like CAI and tune but I can't bear to read another CAI thread !
Experts that know the 05 LS2 A4, thank you in advance for your advice.
The LS2 reacts very well to certain mods. I did a new air intake (hurricane), intake manifold (ported fast 102) and kooks longtube headers. If on a budget, pop the shroud on your stock intake, get your LS2 intake manifold radically ported at peak speed shop, buy a set of used Z06 exhaust manifolds and x pipe and get a canned tune from ecs.
An intake manifold replacement is a good idea. FAST 102 or 92. The ls2 intake isn't very good. Either headers or the Z06 exhaust works. If you are looking for drag racing acceleration, consider an aftermarket torque converter. A Yank SS3200 will give you the biggest bang for the buck.
sounds like you want a simple mail tune to wake up shift points or throttle response. If you are not going for big hp numbers or track times no reason to start the domino mod adventure.

Exactly. I sold my 2016 Z06 z07 Vette a year or so ago and just found this one owner !2,800 mile C6 fairly cheap so that's why another Vette graces my garage. I want to keep It reliable and a weekend sunny day driver. No track, no trying to make It something It is not.
Btw, I assume It has the stock air cleaner but surprised that I can see both the air filters under the top shroud that fits loosely over the air box assembly.
BTW, drove It this past weekend on a 140 mile round trip in the Texas Hill Country last weekend and It got 24.7 MPG and drove like a new car.
Only mods so far are Lloyd's front and back mats and a stretch indoor car cover !
