Out of curiosity, what do you need a leaf spring compressor for? If you are doing suspension work and trying to follow the service manual, there are easier ways to generally perform a task.
As a side note, I've done a lot of suspension work on both C5 and C6 cars and have never needed or used a spring compressor for tranverse springs. However, since you were looking for one, I thought I'd post up a lead for you if you're dead set on buying one. Good luck with your project.
The front spring need some to be compressed a little to get the brackets and rubber bushings on the spring to line up. As stated in the link, raise the front end up and then lower the tires onto blocks. This will compress the spring enough to line it up. Tighten the clamps and you’re done.
Thank you all. We need to replace the leaf spring adjuster bolt and though this would be the way to do it. Let’s oks like there are other ways. Thank you so much.

You don't have to remove the spring to change the bolt. It's been awhile since I did mine.
Remove upper control arm bolts, remove one end of sway bar links on both passenger and drivers sides, and remove lower shock bolts. Disconnect the linkage if you have mag ride. With help you should be able to push the control arm down enough to wiggle the bolt out. You may need to remove the tie rod from the knuckle...i don't think you have to but I can't remember.
bumping this thread back up to the top. I was installing Borg bushings and in an attempt not to remove the axles I managed to swap them on the car but in order to get everything back into the chassis slots I had to remove the spring. Now I'm trying to put the car back together and its currently on a quick jack and when I use a hydraulic jack to lift up the control arm to line it up with the lower shock bolt it ends up lifting the car before it gets to the actual shock, it's close (like 1/4" but I can get the bolt in)
I thought about lowering the car but the problem is that I only have two wheels able to be installed right now (the fronts) as both of the rear end assemblies are in a different state of dis-repair. The drivers side has the shock and upper control arms removed and the right has just the shock and swaybar but if I can't get the shock bolt back in, i'll never get the control arm back in place and/or the sway bar.
