C6 Relay Electrical Symbol
Was helping a C6 Forum member today that had a P1682...the RUN CRNK relay had this symbol...not a standard “coil” symbol for a relay...is this a “special” symbol for you C6 guys...is this a backwards “diver down” symbol ??...LOL !!
??...can’t find it in any of my books !!

Hey Iz !!...THANKS !!...well this Diag wasn't too bad...first off I'd like to say THANKS to C5 Forum member "oelarse" who supplied me with the wiring diagram... first thing I noticed were some relays "chattering" which are usually low voltage issues. Hooked up the scan tool and saw quite a few DTC's !!...a LOT of circuit/ performance and "Loss of Comm with ECM"....low voltage for sure...tried to communicate with the ECM...no luck !!...P1682 concerns the 2 circuits that basically supply power up the PCM...one goes through the POWERTRAIN IGN1 relay and the other to the RUN CRANK relay. Both relays, fuses and wiring from the relays to the PCM were good....no opens or short to grounds... Removed each relay and you should normally see the load and control side powered up...power at pins 85 and 30 so the POWERTRAIN relay at the fusebox was good. Checking the RUN CRANK relay only one pin was being powered..it was the load side I believe...didn't have time to tear into the fusebox but will next week...hope this helps someone who may have this P1682 issue !!
