I have blown a diff in my 2005. Wasnt doing anything crazy. Planned on upgrading and now its in motion. Before i put up a stronger diff id like to get some recommendations on any trusted place in socal to inspect/ install a mew main shaft. Im pretty sure its out of round/ has some runout. As it oscillates while spinning.
Wondering if anyone knows estimate costs on repair, as to see if its just more worth upgrading.
Put in a new act twin race disc and on an aggressive upshift to second BOOM! Running 255/35/18 Achilles atr sport 2( not very grippy tire at all)
As for new diff, RPM may be able to use some of the parts out of your old diff when they build the stronger one on a later model stronger case, so give them a call to see if that would be cheaper option than one fully built isntead.
As for trans output shaft in your blown diff, looks to be alright, but that can be deceiving, since when the diff case lets loose, it tend to bend/breaks the trans output shaft at the same time.
