Just bought my first Corvette. 2008 with an A6. Car is bone stock right now but the wife and I both plan on drag racing it for fun probably a half dozen days a year. I have been reading a lot of posts here about launching techniques, tires, torque management and the dreaded wheel hop issues. I plan on staying mainly stock as this is our cruiser, not our drag car, but what are some proactive mods I can do to help the cars weak links before I break things? Also, any other tips or suggestions to get the most out of the car would be appreciated.
*I also posted this in the drag racing section in case this was not the correct section.*

When I was bone stock, I never had a wheel hop problem. It wasn't until I started the mods and tuning that I had any wheel hop. Even then it was only occasional and I lifted as soon as I felt it.
As things progressed with mods and DR's, the wheel hop stopped too.
Just go and have fun. If you get wheel hop, then lift, since you can always take another pass anyway.

best mods to do , headers and tune for starters , maybe exhaust if you don't have NPP, if you do , KEEP it !!
I do have the NPP exhaust and I will definitely be keeping it! Headers are something I wouldn't be opposed to. I will have to check out some of the brands out there.

I heard a stall and a good tune really wakes these cars up! I know I picked up 7 tenths on my 02 Trans Am just putting a 3600 rpm Vigilante converter in it.
