I am hoping someone may have a 2008-2013 MM6 6 speed manual transmission lying around in the open, I have a project car that is not a corvette but will be using the C6 transmission and rear carrier. I would really appreciate the info as I have searched the forum and not found any threads on it (happy to be corrected!) Can't find any info on the internet either, and I have looked hard.
I got in a full set of C6 knees (all 4 corners of c6 control arms and spindles with J55 brake option) last week but buying a trans is still a few paychecks off so any help greatly appreciated.
OK, I am guessing that there are not many of these units lying around to measure - does anyone have a contact at Tremec? Nothing like getting the info direct from the horses mouth I guess.
Good result today, physically measured a T56 (non-corvette application) and the shaft length was only 0.5mm from a published figure I found on an old transmission digest page using a google image search. Posted here for future reference.
Pilot bearing spigot diameter = 15mm
Pilot bearing spigot length = 29mm
1 1/8" - 26 spline - length = 57 mm (has a 3mm x 45 chamfer at leading edge) so effective length = 54mm
