Default Rear inner tie rod: difficult?

Hey, I need to replace the rear inner tie rod of my C6Z. It looks pretty straightforward; there's just one bolt holding it into the rear cradle. However, someone else on this forum mentioned that they had no room to reach it, and the only way they saw to remove it was to drop the rear cradle - is this true? Anyone get it out without dropping the entire rear cradle?

Instead of worrying about what someone on the forum may have written, why don't you just get underneath with a ratchet, extension & socket & see if you can get to the bolts?

I don't have space in my garage so I would have to rent out a lift to do so. Hence why I would like to figure out prior if it's even worth bothering

Here's a guide on how to do it for a C5, which should be the same for a C6:

Basically, it is kinda a pain in the *** due to the limited space, but you *can* do it without dropping the subframe, though you may need to get the exhaust out of the way depending on your system.

I just did this, and did not find that anyone mentioned how to apply counterforce to prevent the inner tie rod from spinning when taking the inner nut off. I used an allen wrench in the end of the tie rod threaded end and used a crows foot 24mm wrench. It was tedious...
