Recently while driving my service fuel system message came on and gas gauge went to E. I assume that I lost a sender.
Currently my car is supercharged and running a boostapump with meth injection. I feel like if i am going to be inside the tank replacing the sender, i am going to go ahead and upgrade fuel pumps and get rid of the boostapump setup. What do you guys suggest as far as brand or type of setup is best?
Sounds to me that your sending unit's float contact could have worn out. I'll let others chime in here with what brand you might go with, yet having just installed a new OEM driver's side fuel pump in my '06 ZO6, I'll second what my local certified GM mechanic recommended for the installation. When he does this project he additionally always replaces the cross over pipe.... and now I know why. I first tried reusing the original SS pipe. However after struggling a ton and finally pulling loose one of the plastic connection pcs, I went with a new one. Installing this new OEM convoluted pipe went in so easy I thought it could not have been connected properly. But it sure was! You can buy a new one from one of the discount GM parts companies for less than $140. And secondly, be sure to use some lube such as dialectric lube. Including these two suggestions, quite possibly could help bring this project down from a dreaded frustrated level to a realistically doable and satisfying level. (just my mechanic's .02 cents worth)
Wishing you the best.

just go to your tuner and tell him to change the tune to ignore the sending unit codes and forget about dropping the tanks.
The fuel guage will work like normal with no warning lamps. been running mine like that for years.
