I see multiple threads where people claim the Hi ram does not gain but hurt ls3 engines, most seem to be talking about mostly stock though. My plan is full bolt ons, underdrive, big rpm cam, cutouts, headers, vararam, flex fuel, meth, 102 TB. And I want to add a nitrous plate kit shortly after too and eventually move to twins. Does anyone know how the Hi-ram works compared to a rod mod on a more modded ls3?
Right now as far as I know the stock block heads and cam LS3 is in the high 8. Both Texas speed and Gwatney are top shops on that race I know for sure tsp uses the Holley high ram intake cause it lets them rev to 8 K rpms and likely also using a 4600 stall this as for Texas speed is with a Camaro.

I guarantee their converter is 6-7k rpm. Should be 200rpm above peak torque. And those cars are not stock heads. Both use small bore LS7 style heads with stock bottom ends.
