Scraping Noise When Cold
First post, looking for some ideas from the forum on how to get rid of a scraping noise I'm getting first thing in the morning.
Sounds like a heat shield rubbing on the drive line. Or a brake dust cover rubbing on a rotor.
Car: 2008 Z06
Happens driving straight and in turns
RPM shift around 2400 starts to make noise and gets louder when engine decelerates for shift.
Sounds like it's coming from around the bell housing.
Can only hear it with the radio turned way down.
Lasts for about 1/2 mile while driving out of the neighborhood
