Hello Members, I need to pick your brains. I have a 2007 Coupe LS2 engine with 102K miles on the clock. About three weeks ago while on the road, I stopped to get gas. After I left the gas station
in about 30 minutes later, my engine started to run bad...misfiring. I used as much of the gas that I had in my tank to get some fresh gas in the tank. Immediately, I put gas additive on my first gas refilled and did that for the next two refills. Every time I filled the tank with new gas the car ran better. But after three weeks and filling the tank twice a week, the car still is not running smoothly. At acceleration from a red light, it stutters. When changing gears it stutters. Once it gets up to speed it runs great. What should I do to over come the misfire ? Should I change the fuel filter ? Drain the tank completely ? Have the injectors inspected ?
Any one with this experience would like to share it ?
Maybe it wasn't bad gas? I recently had a car act like that and it was a coil going bad. Have you checked to see if the car is throwing any codes? That's where I would start.
