Default Catch Can Z06 PCV

Please look at this catch can PCV plumbing and see what you guys think? I think it was done incorrectly and is pulling vacuum and pulling oil from the dry sump into the catch can?

That looks like it is doing nothing. Why dump oil into the can instead of back into the sump? That is completely wrong.

You cant do that.

if your catch can company cannot supply direction to how to install then imo wrong catch can company. not something you want anyone to 'wing'.

What is setup is nothing more than a can that will catch oil before it goes into the sump, where the oil is stored. Talk about a useless setup.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am going to run 3/8" hose from dry sump vent to procharger air filter, and other 2 lines to catch can the proper way.

Well I redid the plumbing. I ran the two lines to the catch can and the dry sump vent to the pro charger air filter. Seems perfect now and I have much better oil pressure.

Do you have a check valve on the line so you don't pressurize your crank case? If not you will blow out all of your seals first time you hit boost.

Check valve on which line? Did not think I needed one since catch can is installed.

So I put a 3/8" one way check valve one manifold line arrow towards manifold?

That is correct, otherwise you are just pumping boost from the intake manifold to the catchcan, to the crank case.

Be careful on what check valve you use, as you need to make sure it is a good one that seals, and flows enough to provide decent ventilation.
