My Verpaggio hood struts
I got tired of the hood clobbering me on the shoulders and my head just about every time I needed to do anything in the engine compartment. So I ordered Verpaggio hood struts, a pair from Amazon $24.95. Installed them yesterday and they work but they are a bit cheaply made, the hood mount (nipple) is smaller than the strut clasp so there is some free play and also the dampening is stiff making one side of the hood flex slightly when you close. They were inexpensive and do the job (and I will keep them) but I bet better ones can be had.

I bought OE ones about 3 months ago. Little more expensive then the lesser brands available but these work as they should and the originals lasted me 13 years so I’m good for a long time before having to buy them again.
