I have had a metal to metal sound on bumps, coming from the left rear.Pulled the real wheels of today and the left bump stop is almost non existant. Only the bolt going through the end of the spring and there is about an inch gap between the bottom of the stop and the a-arm where the stop sits on the swing arm. The other one looks fine. No clue what happened to it. One of my question is will that make the bump-bang metal sound on bumps? My other is will it make it sit lower on that side. The left side sits 1 1/2" lower than the right side. The end of the left spring sits about 1" lower than the one on the right side.
*I also would like to buy one if you have one that maybe you removed when you installed a lowering kit.
GM doesn't carry them without buying the spring too. Reproductions are about $40 for a pair from Corvette Central. You'l need an alignment after installation, but drive it several miles first.
HOXXOH - Thanks for the info. I have seem simlialr kits for sale but was under the impression that they only lowered it. I would like to keep it at stock height settings if possible. Their site seems to be saying that you can also adjust them to raise also. It seems to me that should work if the bolt stem is long enough to still make the adjustment. I will follow up on your suggestions. Just found it hard to imagine that no one offers a stock set. I don't know what happened to one of mine but the bottom portion of it is missing. It leaves about an inch of clearance between the arm and the spring. I don't know if this is where the metal clanging and popping is coming from or not. It also seems to be bottomed out and has a harsher ride. Do you think this gap would make it sit lower on that side?
*I am hoping someone on the forum has changed out to the lowering kit and saved the originals and maybe has one they would sell.
It seems as if some of the Vette sites have become dormant and I wasn't sure anyone browsed them anymore. Thanks for your time.

The Corvette Central OE reproductions have the same dimensions as the factory rear adjuster bolts.
GM has never sold the OEM bolts separately from the springs.
The purpose of the bolts is to trim the ride height. A disintegrated bolt will absolutely lower the car. My C6 dropped an inch or more when mine started falling apart.
Check your fronts. They're probably on their way out too.
