05 C6 Automatic not up- shifting
Hey Everybody, I'm new here so I apologize if this is not the correct forum to post in.
I am having an issue with my 05 C6 Corvette not wanting to up-shift at any throttle range (hammering it or slowly cursing). Here is what will happen. The Corvette will just rev up until it hits the rev limiter, Sometimes it will shift up, But only If I hold it there long enough but I feel like I'm damaging the car. Something is not right. This happened to me back in April, My girlfriend and I were driving down to Panama City and the same thing happened. I took it to a local transmission shop and they had to pretty much rebuild the transmission. I have the receipt and the repairs are as follows:
Replaced:
2nd and 4th band
2nd servo piston
Main control valve body
Oil Filter
Overhaul kit
Torque converter p/n 17803809
It cost me a whopping $3,187 but I was 800 miles from home! (I live in West Alton, MO)
It seems like I am in 2nd gear trying to shift to 3rd when this happens! If anyone has had the same issue or has any insight id love to hear it
Only modifications to my car:
Long Tube Headers
VRSC- 2 Cam package with new rockers, pushrods, valve springs and titanium retainers
Vortex Power Duct CAI

Sounds like who ever worked on it didn't do a very good job.Will they not warranty their repair?A remanufactured transmission for your car from GM is available for $1,900. and comes with a 3 year warranty.Make sure your transmission fluid level is not low

Called up the shop in Panama this morning, They're having a local shop look at it and are going to cover it by their warranty! Thank goodness! I will post what the repairs for any DIY Transmission guys that stumble across the same issue.
