Driver side window not going back up + emergency door release doesn't work
Guess this is God's way of tellin me not to go anywhere tonight, anyways.
I got a 2009 base corvette, driving home, I rolled my window down a little bit and then notice it wouldn't go back up. Whenever I open my door, it acts like it's "indexing" even though it's halfway open. I can't raise the window anymore, even when I try to assist it coming up. It feels like it's stuck in that position, tried rolling it up and down to see if maybe it'll free something up but now its stuck even lower.
It makes a grinding sound when I try to roll the window up. Never messed with power windows, and can't seem to google much information. Anyone have any expertise in this area?
Also my emergency door release doesn't work on the driver side, anyone got any insight on where to start with that?
You usually need a new window regulator when you hear that grinding sound and their quite pricey.$ From 336. to $600. each depending on which GM dealer you buy it from
I had the same thing happen to me a couple months ago, had to replace the window regulator assembly.
The cheapest that I have found was $278 shipped from Amazon (part No. 22895756).
It's most likely the window regulator cables are frayed and stuck in the cableregulator. I had that happen to my passsenger window. As far as your emergency exit handle not working, it's most likely that the cable is not hooked properly to the door latch.
Try to see if the emergency handle in the hatch area will open the driver door.
It's definitely a window regulator. These assemblies can be expensive, but you are in luck! We're a new vendor on here and we offer regulator rebuild services for corvettes. Our regulator service includes replacement of the cheap plastic pieces that are known to break with our metal replicas. I'll leave a picture of our parts for reference. The cost of the service is $249 + shipping and comes with a lifetime warranty. Let us know if you need our help.

I just ordered it with the fasteners. Total came out to 302 dollars or so. I remember the days where they didn't tax online sales, one of the biggest perks of buying online!

Doesn't work at all, really don't want to end up in a wreck one day and be trapped lol. Idk what the previous owner done, he did some janky stuff when he modded the car. Just curious to see how much of a pita itll be to fix

I'm fairly certain that someone replaced the Door Latch and didn't hook up the manual release cables to it.
Here is the latch, and how to get to it to attach the cables to it with the PDF
