Default Seat Delete Resistors

I am planning on swapping out my stock seats for some race seats and want to make sure I dont get any airbag lights or the seat belt lights. I am reading that you can use 3.3K resistors, and just wanted to see what others have done.

I swapped out the air bag sensors into the new seats. They are self contained and very simple, I slipped them between the leather and the foam, they work just like the OEM seats. I did have to move the Hall effect switch to the new sliders on the passenger seat that disables the air bag if the seat is adjusted too far forward. A couple of zip ties took care of it.

Ok. So basically I can just get the seats and brackets then all should be good to go? I know I can transfer the bladder in the passenger seat, but I figure the airbags in the seat I will need resistors for since I won’t have those in the aftermarket ones.

Vetteworks makes a plug in resistor for the airbag. I usually keep them in stock.

Yea I saw those, but if I can just use a resistor myself and save some money why not.

the d/s harness from VetteWorks allows the car to retain the electronic steering adjustment .

I shot him an email to see what all I will need. I dont really need the telescopic wheel as I dont adjust it anyway. Pretty much just need to cancel out the seatbelt indicator light and chime and airbag light.

Even if I could make the resistor myself, I would buy it from Dan @ Vetteworks. He’s a good guy to deal with and in my humble opinion, especially at a time like this, those of us who can afford it should try to support the people who have given us support for our cars like he does. Otherwise, we might end up losing a precious source of top-notch Corvette-specific products. I’m thinking of buying a set of his seat brackets and all of the necessary airbag simulators etc, soon myself.

Not sure. But he’s usually good about responding by email. Hope he’s okay.

He's good, I just talked to him yesterday about some harness bar orders. This virus is making it hard for parts companies to get some components so we've all be struggling with that a bit trying to find certain things from other companies due to some being closed.

Its crazy how much this has slowed down the world basically. Good time to install parts though. I plan on running the sharkbar, and hopefully the wait time isnt crazy.
