Default Poor Man Dry Sump

Been installing a 3 quart accusump, took a few pictures to show what you have to do in order to get to the inner fender mount.
Using Raceflux 5/8 hose and 3/4 fire sleeve . The top fitting is a 120 degree I could have save myself some trimming if i would have used a 150 degree or maybe a 180 degree would have worked. anyway 5 quart in the pan and 3 in the accusump/improved racing scraper and windage tray =poor man dry sump

Very nice, i also unfortunately track a wet sump ls3. I have the accusump and crank scraper, but also run the improved racing oil cooler, high pressure oil pump and restricted oil pushrods. Seems to be holding up well.

Would you mind sharing your pushrod specs? Was there any measurable difference after you installed them?

Last1, what was the overall cost here? Is the 3quart can the alrgest one they offer? Do you run a check valve somewhere as otherwise the oil runs back in the sump when the car stands still. How do you deal with crank case pressure? Any changes there? Last but not least, I do not understand how this accumulator works, is it a spring inside?

I don't remember, but just call Manton and they will recommend the thickness and orifice size. I installed them at the same time as my high pressure oil pump so i couldn't verify a difference.

Sorry I have been with out power the last 3 days. It cost me around 1,000 dollars for the accusump/with pressure switch/ and EVC and improved racing scraper and windage tray and improved racing accumulation port Raceflux 10an hose and fittings. Hungryhippo time for a rebuild on the trunnions. And I bought a little oil can light the that light up @ 25 psi hook up to the pressure switch.

Where in the rear did you mount your Accusump?

I am looking at doing the same thing with an Accusump or Moroso Accumulator. I have a 416 stroker F.I. build going and went with the Improved Racing Scraper and windage tray and cooler thermostat and added the Saccitycorvette Barbell as well.

Did you tie the Accusump into an oil cooler line? Did you use the "24-271X Accusump Pro Version Electric Pressure Control Valve 20-25 Psi"? I am wanting to use mine as a pre-oiler as well.

I’m not using a oil cooler . I’m just bought accusump port that replaced the bypass valve on the oil pan. Yes I’m using the 24-271x EPC Valve 20-25 Psi and I have it wired hot (but fused)so I can use it as pre-Oiler. Also have a warning light wired in the circuit.

Mine is in the right rear fender liner, laterally under the cargo bin. The outlet is slightly raise to allow air to escape.

I was contemplating that area but was not sure there was room. What size Accusump are you using with that mounting location? I'm assuming you are running the plumbing through the rocker cavity?
