You don't need a disconnect tool for that. There is a release tab on one side that you press in, then pull the connector apart while pressing on it (same as the one near the gas fill tube). I just removed my driver's side tank and re-installed it this past week. If it is too hard to press in with your fingers, you can try to angle it so that you can get a flat screwdriver tip to push on the release tab.
