Default Help with cooling fan issue

So my C6 overheated on the way home. Checked the fan by jumping 12v to it works fine. Checked power to the fan control module located by the fan and had 12v so I figured the fan module was gone. Bought a replacement on line, popped it in, started the car and let it warm to 220 so I assume the temp sensor works ok, but the fan never came on. Any ideas on where to go next?

Turn on the AC, that should force the fan on.

I sent 12v dc past the controller, but had 12v at the controller input so the plug should be good.

Look at the plug the power or ground wires to the fan could be melted. The plastic melts and gets in the contacts. Did you buy a new controller?

Yes I bought a new fan controller. I checked the voltage into the controller which is past the plug that always seems to cause issues and had 12V to the controller. Hate to think a brand new controller would be bad, It could be whatever sends the signal to the controller however. That is what I am thinking. Just not sure how to troubleshoot that. There is a small red wire to the controller independent of the power supply. I wonder if it should get a 12v signal when the program calls for the fan?
