If you read my original post I'm having a problem with the Instrument panel gauges not working. After talking to a few experts I think I might get a used one but from where.Someone mentioned one place in Pennsylvania but don't have the name. Any place you guys can recommend that's trustworthy I'll look into. And from what I understand I'll have to have it programmed to match my mileage. I was told you can't do it with a tech2.
Thanks Tom Gilfoy

No, the glitch to getting the replacement dash to read the correct actual miles, is it have to be TDS flashed by the dealer. Even worse, when you go into SPS to flash the dash, it not a standard file, but one that GM has to write with the correct mileage to begin with, and they you select VIC method for file/input the file number into SPS to pull down from A/C delco to flash in.
So short of someone able to pre-flash the dash for you with a hacker type devices, the only way A/C is going to write the file needed for the SPS flash, is if a dealer installs the new cluster instead. Hence they pull the mileage from the BCM/ECM, call this in to get the needed flash file written/ file number for SPS to pull it down, then flashes the cluster after it has been installed in the car so it reads the correct actual mileage of the car.

I thought all I had to do is go to the dealer ,they plug into the car OBD2 change it and I'm on my way. That sounds like a major project and alot of money.

Find the right dealer, yes, since they can pull the actual mileage from the BCM/ECM, give A/C delco a call to write the file to flash the cluster, then re-flash the Cluster to the correct mileage in a matter of mins. Hence actual mileage is stored in the car in a few places, just for this reason.
The problem, most dealers are in it for the money, so not only do they want to charge for a refurbished gauge installed to begin with, but the file and flash as well.

gauge display
I called local dealer, manager said I would have to leave the car there while they order a new display and have it shipped to them then they would replace it. They didn't know how much or how long it would take. They order from some place that programs them so its prob a used one . This is what your dealing with in NJ total incompetence. I think they can reprogram the one in the car through a MDI and tis2000 through the acDelco website. My tech2 paths show odometer reset but I can't access it. Somebody has to know for shure.
